Synthetics Agents

Kentik’s synthetic testing capabilities are enabled by ksynth, a Kentik software agent (see About Synthetics Agents). Kentik deploys instances of ksynth as “global” (public) agents in key locations throughout the Internet, and also allows customers to deploy instances as “private” agents within their own infrastructure. The settings for your organization’s private instances of ksynth are made on the Agent Management page, where you can also see all currently deployed agents, global and private, on a map and in a filterable table providing information (including status) about each agent.
