The following updates were released to the Kentik platform for Alerting during February 2026.
Features
- Alerting Trends page: New Alerting Trends page (replacing Alerting Overview) with an Overview tab showing alert severity trends and site health, and an Activity tab showing top triggered policies and devices with sparkline charts, enhanced filtering, and export/subscription support.
- Notification template editor: New notification template editor with Go template editing, live preview, syntax highlighting, schema-driven autocomplete, real-time error detection, and a dedicated detail page for managing notification channels.
- Cloudflare Magic Transit API token authentication: Authenticate CFMT (Cloudflare Magic Transit) platforms using API tokens as an alternative to email/password credentials.
- Cloudflare Magic Transit BGPRoutes API: CFMT mitigations now advertise and withdraw routes via the new BGPRoutes API for more granular control.
- Policy validation: More thorough policy threshold validation and enabled the less-than operator for all policies.
Bug Fixes
- Mitigation platform health: Clearer platform health reporting with a three-state status (Healthy, Warning, Failing) and consolidated error reporting.
- Alert visibility: Alert views across the app (Device Details, DDoS/Active widgets, Alert history, Runbook tables) no longer truncate to 10 results and now show complete datasets with pagination.
- Device alert count: Fixed incorrect alert count on the Device Details Alert tab.
- ASN/Region labels: Alert UI and email notifications now show readable region names and ASN descriptions instead of numeric values.
- Readable filter values: Fixed search clear/X button not clearing the search field on alerting tables.
- OAuth notification fields: OAuth fields in notification settings only appear required when relevant, reducing form clutter.
- Policy form validation: Fixed validation of the activation delay field on the alert policy form.
- Notification channels: Fixed a 500 error when deleting notification channels and ensured saved channel credentials can be properly cleared.
- NMS device filters: Fixed device sites/labels becoming uneditable in saved NMS device filters.
- Phantom tenant sites: Fixed deleted ("phantom") sites still associated with tenants and propagated site deletion to user groups.
- NMS in audit log: NMS policy operations are now correctly categorized under "Alert Policy" in the Audit Log.
