AI / Insights

New AI models available: Anthropic Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Sonnet 5 are now available through the AI Gateway, with automatic fallback routing across providers for improved availability.
Regional data residency controls: Added strict and relaxed data-residency modes to keep regional data (e.g., European) within region to comply with region-specific data governance regulations.
Message compression: Added the ability to group AI usage by session to optionally compress messages, with response details showing tokens saved.
Automatic model limit enforcement: AI requests now automatically respect each model's supported token limits and temperature settings, reducing request failures.
Richer AI Investigation notifications: AI Investigation alerts sent to Jira Cloud and Jira Service Management now support rich formatting (tables, links, structured content), and investigation notifications now include the Alarm ID and use standardized, reliable alert delivery.

Corrected AI Investigation links: Fixed relative link handling so links in AI Investigation notifications render correctly in Jira Cloud.

SSRF protection for syslog: The syslog notification channel now blocks connections to private and reserved IP ranges for improved security.
Flexible CFMT credentials: Cloudflare Magic Transit (CFMT) alerting integration credentials now support switching between API token and API password, with validation handled in the UI.

IPv6 baselines: Fixed IPv6 address handling in baseline calculations to prevent alert filtering/dimension issues for IPv6-based alerts.
Custom non-rate metric baselines: Fixed baseline backfill so custom non-rate metrics are normalized correctly, improving baseline and threshold accuracy.
Regex filter commas preserved: Regex filter values containing commas are no longer incorrectly split, eliminating false positives in policies.## Cloud

Essential measurement support: Monitoring templates can now restrict collection to only essential metrics (for example, /components, /system, or /system/cpus/summary), reducing data collection overhead while preserving critical monitoring.
SNMPv3 authNoPriv support: Added support for SNMPv3 authNoPriv mode, allowing authentication without encryption.
Faster device updates and flexible custom columns: Improved device information retrieval and added options to control custom column loading for faster device processing.
Site as a queryable dimension: site-id is now available as a queryable dimension in NMS metrics without added storage cost.
New device SNMP support: Added SNMP monitoring support for Meraki cloud-managed devices, Check Point devices, and ITL devices, including trap notifications for status and hardware events.
Improved SNMP trap parsing: Extended trap parsing to correctly handle OSPF IPv4 address traps, integer-encoded BITS/numeric fields, and additional vendor encodings.
Hardened agent registration: Agent registration now supports mandatory provisioning tokens and approval gates for stronger security, and standby agent state is now exposed for cluster upgrades.

Fixed monitoring deadlock: Resolved a deadlock between the update processor and managers that could cause extended monitoring outages.
Explicit + essential measurements: Fixed handling when both explicit measurements and essentials-only mode are configured together.
Classic threshold policies: Restored device_name storage so classic threshold policies relying on it continue to work.
Accedian trap parsing: Fixed trap parsing for Accedian devices so their alarms are received and processed correctly.
Agent re-registration: Fixed an issue where previously approved agents re-entered the pending approval state on re-registration, improved agent recovery with new provisioning tokens, and made the install endpoint accept both token parameters.
SNMP OID matching: Fixed OID prefix matching so traps with out-of-order varbinds parse correctly, reducing spurious errors.

Flexible audit event lookup: You can now retrieve an audit event by its ID alone, without needing to supply the ctime parameter.

Global agent update: Rolled out ksynth-agent 1.0.17 to Synthetic Global Agents worldwide.
New agent location: Added a new Lumen London (LOD) synthetic agent cluster to restore regional testing availability.## Traffic

Query Explain endpoint: Added a new endpoint that runs queries with EXPLAIN ANALYZE and returns detailed execution plans, helping you diagnose slow queries and understand query behavior in Data Explorer.
Shareable Explain links: You can now generate shareable links to query analysis by encoding the query state directly in the URL.
Expanded service classification: Added new DNS/OTT service classification patterns for streaming and other services, including Fox Sports (World Cup), TV Azteca, ViX, LG, Xiaomi, Google Play, Microsoft Teams, and Ookla Speedtest, improving traffic-to-service accuracy.

Long query parameters: Fixed query failures caused by overly long parameter values (e.g., Punycode domain names) exceeding filename limits.
Query latency with cache skip: Fixed excessive query latency when query.cache.skip was enabled, restoring normal response times.
ASN name corrections: Corrected ASN organization names for accurate traffic enrichment (ASN 1221 to Telstra; ASN 52783 to Alcans Telecom).
