The Licenses page shows your Kentik Edition and details about your licensed Plans.
About Licenses
A Kentik license represents the level of service specified in the agreement between you and Kentik. A license involves two main components:
Kentik Editions: The overall set of features and capabilities included in your Kentik services.
Kentik Plans: A specified set of services to be provided by Kentik (see About Plans). The specific characteristics of the plan depend on the type of service to be provided.
Account Team
The Account Team pane is located at the top of the Licenses page, above the Edition pane. Hover over each individual’s name or click the Contact Account Team button to create a support ticket.

Kentik Editions
Kentik currently offers the following editions:
Kentik Pro: The core Kentik platform, which enables you to proactively manage network events, automate service assurance, plan network utilization and peering, and respond to traffic anomalies that impact network performance, availability, and security. Add-ons are a la carte.
Kentik Premier: Our most feature-rich solution builds on the foundation of Kentik Pro while protecting your network with threat detection and third-party mitigation options and also providing in-depth understanding of how your customers are using the network, including OTT analytics. Add-ons are included.
Kentik Custom: If your edition doesn’t correspond to either Pro or Premier, then your company may either be using an old pricing model or a “Custom” edition. For more information, contact your Kentik Account Team.
Notes:
For additional information on editions, see the Plans & Pricing page of the Kentik website.

Kentik Plans
Plans are configured by Kentik and are not editable by customers. The level of service in a plan is represented as a set of values for plan attributes. All customers have at least one plan, often named “Default.”
As you register your data sources with Kentik you must assign each to a specific plan. The plans to which your devices belong are shown on the Licenses page, where you’ll find the attributes of each plan (see Plans Pane) and the devices that are assigned to it. To access this page, choose Licenses from the Organization Settings menu on the portal's main navbar.
Note: For assistance with your organization’s plans, contact Kentik (see Customer Care).
Plans Pane
The Plans pane contains a collection of cards, each of which represents an individual FlowPak, CloudPak, or UniversalPak that your organization has purchased from Kentik. Each card contains the information covered below.
Note: The plans that display depend on your organization’s Edition and may not include all plan types available. For more information contact your Kentik Account Team.
The following general information is provided on each card:
Type: The type of plan (e.g., CloudPak, FlowPak, or UniversalPak).
Name: Kentik's name for this plan. The name is not unique to your organization.
ID: Identification number of the plan in parentheses next to the plan name.
Description: A brief description of the plan.
Entitlements: Displayed on the right side of each Plan card. Metrics differ depending on the Edition, Add-On(s), and Plan for your organization.
Kentik Plan Services
Kentik services are currently offered in the plans listed below. For more detail on these plans and their available add-ons, refer to the Plans & Pricing page of the Kentik website.
CloudPak
CloudPak provides monitoring, analytics, and alerting for flow logs from a cloud service provider like AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI (see Cloud Overview).
The following information is provided on the card for a CloudPak plan:
Utilization: A chart that shows data for Received, Stored, and Max FPS found for the specific CloudPak. If no FPS data is found, the chart will not be displayed.
Time range: A dropdown selector to view data from a specific period of time (e.g., 1 Hour, 1 Day, 7 Days, 30 Days).
Go to Public Clouds: Click the Go to Public Clouds icon to open the Settings » Public Clouds page.
Peak: Default selection when viewing the CloudPak card. It displays the maximum (peak) flow values recorded during the selected time period, the highest Received FPS and Stored PFS metrics, and provides a view of the worst-case flow rates to help assess capacity limits.
Note: For information about calculating baseline FPS on a device, see Estimating Flow Rate.
Latest: Is useful for real-time monitoring and recent trends. It displays the most recent flow values from the end of the selected time period, shows current Received FPS and Stored FPS metrics, and helps users understand the current state of their flow rates.
Selected: Enables interactive point selection on the chart. Click on the utilization chart to select a specific data point (that will appear as a red dot) and view its metrics. It shows the selected timestamp and corresponding Raw FPS, Received FPS, and Stored FPS values. This is helpful for investigating specific time periods or anomalies.
Entitlements
Max FPS: The maximum flows/second supported by the plan.
Data Sources: The current number of Kentik-registered devices/clouds (see Network Devices) assigned to this plan out of the total number supported by the plan (e.g., "72 of 250").
Show: Opens a popup showing the devices/clouds in this plan.
BGP: Indicates whether or not devices/clouds in this plan may be peered to enable Kentik to collect BGP routing data (see BGP Overview).
Fast Retention: The number of days that data will be stored in the Fast dataseries (see About Dataseries Resolution).
Full Retention: The number of days that data will be stored in the Full dataseries.

CloudPak Plan card details

Full Retention: The number of days that data will be stored in the Full dataseries.

Core Plan card details
DevicePak
The DevicePak Plan has replaced the Edge Plan. It provides monitoring and analytics for devices with per-device flow rate limits, helping users track device-level performance and ensure devices stay within their allocated Max FPS Per Device thresholds.
The following information is provided on the card for a DevicePak Plan:
Device limit bar: A visual indicator to show the number of devices used out of the total devices available.
Devices Over Max FPS: A table that shows data for each device. Devices are pre-sorted with the worst data resolution at the top.
Device: Device name. Click the Device name to open the Devices page.
Received FPS: FPS that Kentik receives from your devices over a selected time period.
Stored FPS: FPS that Kentik actually stores after any downsampling over the same time period.
Data Resolution: Shows how detailed your flow data is (i.e., Full Resolution, Downsampled, Low Resolution). If you send more FPS than your license allows, Kentik must discard some of them (downsampling) to stay within your limit. The more flows that get discarded, the lower your data resolution becomes. Click Data Resolution to resort the devices with the best data resolution at the top.
Go to Devices: Click the Go to Devices icon to open the Devices page.
Entitlements

UniversalPak
The UniversalPak simplifies scaling options by combining the CloudPak and FlowPak, allowing you to easily monitor both on-prem and the Cloud. Since the UniversalPak can be used as a CloudPak or a FlowPak, the information contained on the card covers both devices and flows (as detailed in CloudPak and FlowPak).
Note: The UniversalPak Plan is only available with the Essentials Edition (see Kentik Editions). For more information contact your Kentik Account Team.
