The following updates were released to the Kentik platform for Network Monitoring System (NMS) during September 2026.
Features
- Delete config revisions: You can delete a device configuration revision, after a confirmation. The list then refreshes and shows the latest revision.
- Traps and syslogs in the Telemetry tab: Device Details shows whether SNMP traps and syslog messages arrived in the last 24 hours and which agents received them.
- VRF names and filtering: VRF column names appear in Device Details and metrics interface tables, with VRF name filtering and sorting.
- Celestica devices: Celestica devices show vendor icons and system details such as model.
- VyOS and Aruba AOS-CX config backup: Config backup now supports VyOS and Aruba AOS-CX over SSH.
- New device support: A10 Thunder virtual-server reports, per-CPU and component metrics; MikroTik hardware component and sensor reports; F5 BIG-IP APM metrics; Huawei model matching; Arista CoPP stats; Check Point interface speeds; interface name and alias enrichment for Arista measurements.
- Device profiles: Cisco Catalyst 9000 now identifies correctly. New Panduit PDU energy metrics. New A10 Networks and Arista VXLAN MIBs.
Bug Fixes
- Interface classification banner and table: The dashboard banner no longer shows 0% classification, and the Devices table shows current classification (it can take up to an hour to update). Classifications now apply correctly.
- Device bulk labels: Bulk labels now apply all selected labels even when a filter is active.
- Metrics picker errors: Metrics that can't be queried are hidden, and you get clear errors instead of SQL errors.
- Monitoring profile counts: Device counts under Settings > Monitoring Profiles are correct again.
- Data retention and sorting: The default NMS data retention is 390 days and can't be edited. Queries have a default sort order.
- Code editor and SNMP icons: Fixed a CodeMirror crash and SNMP icons for Ranger devices.
- Device fixes: Arista port-channel speed over gNMI, IS-IS neighbor hostnames, FortiGate component status, and Cisco SB stacked fan and temperature reports. Config preview shows byte values as strings.
- Interface classification performance: Improved performance for regex-based classification rules and the initial classification load.
